Slightly Included (SI1 and SI2): contain noticeable inclusions which are easy (SI1) or very easy (SI2) to see under 10X. In some SIs, inclusions can be seen with the unaided eye. This means that without any magnifications you really shouldn't be able to see any clarity characteristics (inclusions and blemishes) in a diamond under adequate lighting conditions. Using magnification the clarity characteristics are immediately apparent when you look at the diamond. The SI2 diamond clarity will apply when clarity characteristics are visible without magnification when viewing the diamond from the side profile or through the pavilion view. A SI2 diamond clarity allows you to save money or spend money from your budget in a better diamond cut, a greater diamond carat weight, or a higher diamond color.
